How to Work Around Subpar SAT Scores?
I am currently an undergraduate student at a non-target and I want to do nothing more than transfer to a target school. However, it appears that most targets still look at SAT scores for transfer students, even after the first year of schooling. Unfortunately for me, after taking the SAT's three times, I was only able to score 1600/2400 and I truly believe that it is the best I can do. I received a 3.5 my fist semester in college and expect to receive a 4.0 for the current semester and hope to transfer somewhere good.
I truly believe that I am capable of excelling at any school I attend and have aced every college course I have taken thus far, excluding a course, with a delusional philosophy professor who gave me a C my first semester. Are there any target schools that don't look at SAT scores for transfer students, or will subpar SAT scores prevent me from taking the easy route to Wall Street?
I know what people are going to say. "If you can only score a 1600/2400 SAT score, your only shot on Wall Street is in the back office." But I strongly disagree, I have been fascinated with high finance since I was 12 and have broken the curve on every finance and economics course I have ever taken. My weak points are that I am a slow reader, take too long to write essays, and can't remember when to use which formula for all the mathematical problems on the SAT's. I am beginning to think that I have some sort of disability, because I excel at almost every subject in school, but for some reason, just can't beat the clock on the SAT's, yet my IQ score says otherwise. Why can't I beat the SAT?!?!?
