How would you discover small businesses (with elderly owners) near NYC

If you were targeting founder-owned businesses in the NYC area to acquire, how would you go about finding businesses in which the owner was elderly / may retire soon?

Does it matter the industry? Because if not then I would suggest: Financial Advisors, Insurance Agents and Construction/Trades.

A lot of the construction/trade companies have owners that are over 60 and looking to retire soon. (i.e my job when I worked at a construction company, and was going to take it over in 5 years). A lot of them are old.

Another thing is to use Linkedin to find people with the title CEO/Owner and search through it based on year graduating from college.

Also pretty much anyone who uses classifieds to promote their company.

A lot of manufacturing, construction, trade, etc would be a good start.
