I used to be a teacher and I want to be a FInancial Advisor. What should I do?

I used to be a science teacher for two years and have been in education for three years. I have an undergrad degree (not in finance) and I plan on getting my MBA in the near future. Currently, I am interning for an independent FA. My goal is to be an FA and am unsure on what path I should take to accomplish thaisgoal because I am a career changer.

My current plan is to get a job as a client service associate at a PWM or PB firm after the internship ends. While employed as a client service associate, I plan on getting my MBA and possibly my CFP certification. After getting my MBA, my goal is to then leverage my MBA and experience as a client service associate in order to get a position as an FA at a reputable firm or move up at the current firm (and become an FA there).

Lastly, I know you need relationship with HNW individuals for this role. I know a few and plan on growing my network. Also, I know age matters in PWM if you want to be and FA so just to let you all know that I'm 29. Does my plan sound plausible? Is it a good one? Do client service associate often get the opportunity to move up and become FAs?

Talk to me you guys and let me know. Also, if you are currently and FA of client service associate, please reply to this thread. I really want you 2 cents!

If you keep knowledge about financial sectors and you have done your qualification in this field so you can make a financial advisor. Both are fields best for making a good career because both are providing the best opportunities so you can choose any one field.
