IB BEHAVIOR?
Hello,
A friend of mine goes ludicrous on weekends... His behavior is typical (meaning it happens every weekend)... For example, he took a corona from a woman and chugged it in front of her. Shortly after, he threw down a $100 bill and said thanks. Obviously, this was before he got kicked out of the bar we were in. This was a nice place, in TriBeCa, and I feel that he gets too drunk.
I want to know if this is how an IB should be? He claims he works crazy hours and it results in this. He seems to be focused on materialism and pop-culture rather than social concern.
Any takers?
Your friend is an idiot. $100 for a corona? throwing her a $5 or a $10 would have had the same effect.
sounds like a real dbag. if ur with him when he does this shit, people will be more likely to view you in the same light by association. ask urself, do i want people to see me like this? is this good for my career? social life?
brool story co!
Wow! Yeah total Douche.......gives bankers a bad rep. Eventually he's gonna run into sum1 in a bar who will beat his ass.
...commence ass whooping
Sounds like a baller to me
either your a troll or your friend is a scumbag
I just realized....your asking us this "is this how i-bankers should act?" meanwhile your a partner at a VC shop?
I think everyone goes through a "I'm an asshole because I'm miserable (in banking/finance/consulting)" phase.... ...then the phase should end by the time the person finishes his first year.
If not, slap him.
I don't think OP is a troll....know too many analysts like that.
wait..there's bars in tribeca??
dont feed the troll
In developed places like Europe and the US you don't get your ass beaten in clubs by bouncers, do you? That's in Russia and places like that....
A lot of the bouncers in London are meat heads who look for any excuse to fight. I've seen them steal drugs off people and then give them to their buddies, sucker punch people, start verbal altercations for now reason, etc.
I say this because when I go there, THAT's the rowdy crowd I want to see. I can eat sheppard's pie here....GIVE ME THE HOOLIGANS!!!
Being an analyst and making 100k doesn't prevent you from getting the shut kicked out of you. Your friend will learn his lesson someday and someday soon.
What an idiot, didn't even put his number on the $100, rookie mistake.
