IB or Consulting to Private Equity? Do you need an MBA?

Wall Street Mentors currently has a 50% off mock interview special:

Please email me us to get paired with a mentor.

Our featured private equity mentors this week are David and Eric. David transitioned from an analyst position at JP Morgan to a leading middle-market PE firm, and Eric broke into private equity from a boutique consulting firm. While it's not the norm, both mentors have built successful PE careers without an MBA.

David is the Managing Partner of Clover Capital Partners, a private equity firm that he founded. He also spent six years with two leading private equity firms - Prospect Partners and The Riverside Company. While at Prospect Partners, David was promoted from Associate to Vice President without earning his MBA and led the pre-MBA recruiting process.

Eric spent five years as a deal professional for The Riverside Company. Previously, he worked for Norwest Equity Partners, a private equity fund with $4.6 billion AUM. He transitioned to Norwest after working for Marakon Associates.

Wall Street Mentors is a great resource to get ready for recruiting season, as we will pair you with Wall Street executives that have been actively involved in the hiring process at leading banks, hedge funds, big 3 consulting firms, and private equity shops. They can give you the inside scoop on what to expect, how to prepare for recruiting, and we also offer mock interviews for simulated, intense interview prep.
