Ibanking/Financial Modeling Course in NYC Area....Low Price

heres a great opportunity,i heard from a friend of mine who goes to a target.... thought you guys might be interested... this course is similar to wall street prep and training the street, but at a much lower price .....however, this is only in the NYC area

"Experienced Investment Banking Analyst willing to tutor high schools and college students looking to enter the exciting world of investment banking. Everything you need to know will be covered including the following: Basics of finance and accounting, financial statement analysis, valuation of businesses (which includes comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow or DCF analysis, leveraged buyout or LBO analysis, comparable transaction analysis), merger modeling, knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and other valuable tips to help you successfully interview for, and work as, an investment banking analyst. Considering first year analysts out of college can earn up to $150,000+, these tutoring sessions are worth the investment. These small, possibly one-on-one sessions (currently working out pricing depending on interest but will definitely be less expensive than other programs such as Wall Street Prep or Training the Street) are intended for anyone looking to land an internship, full-time career, or simply learn more about how businesses and the financial markets work. Sessions are flexible and can work around your schedule.

A couple of points:

  1. You'll learn all this stuff over and over again once you're in - don't overkill it for the interviews - just be smart.

  2. This guy claims to be a master of finance, but obviously didnt learn proper english as an anayst - he is proposing to tutor entire high schools in addition to college students. As an analyst, shit like this will make people around you go apeshit.

  3. Why is someone who has an email adress at a startup hedge fund tutoring wannabe i-bankers. Quit the i-bank and the hedge fund isn't picking up as quickly as hoped so wants to make the extra cash - guess what, you're likely being taught by a douchebag.

Ok. Point three is a little agressive, but don't waste your time prepping for the excel skills you will grow to despise with time. Go out. have some beers. Sodas. Mineral water. But don't pay good money fore something you're gonna get for free a few months down the line.

this program is more for those who want to spend money on wall street training or training the street, but don't want to spend thousands....if you want to go ahead and pay thousands of dollars for wall street or training the street with 20+ kids in a room go ahead....just realize that for the fraction of the cost you could have gotten the same learning experience 1 on 1.....thats your choice
