IBD, Consulting, Hedge Fund, Quantitative Trading: Summer Internship decision HELP!

Hi, I was wondering if you guys could help me make a decision regarding my summer internship.

So a little background about myself: I don't really know much about finance. I just applied to several jobs and have been cramming for interviews the night before each one. I want to learn a lot about finance over the summer, and when I apply to full time positions next year, I would ideally like to get an offer from MBB for consulting or top IBanking divisions such as Goldman or Morgan Stanley. So far for this upcoming summer, I have offers from

Credit Suisse IBD
Oliver Wyman FS

I have final round interviews coming up for

Citadel (2 groups)
Citi Quantitative Trading & Analysis
Bain

I would take Bain over all offers, but I obviously have to prepare for the likely outcome that I won't get an offer from Bain.

I am wondering

1) Which would would you take (I want to learn a lot while keeping as many options for myself as possible for full time)? Credit Suisse IBD vs. Oliver Wyman FS?
2) Should I even bother going to the final rounds for Citadel or Citi?

Thanks guys.

I can't help you with offers but definitely go to final rounds. You have nothing to lose by going.

Citadel is a good HF, though I hear they have a horrible, cutthroat culture.

But based on prestige and difficulty to get a job, they beat everything else you have listed.

I assume you're in the running for itap there (if ftap, wouldn't bother doing it). Wouldn't bother going to Citi unless you want to be a quant. I believe CS is on the same level in banking as Wyman is on in consulting, so you just have to decide which field you want to go into.

citadel is the most prestigious out of the options you listed and give out the best pay. but if you're not sure about what you want to do long-term and want to leave a lot of doors open, go for bain. getting MBB consulting experience will allow you to get into management, venture capital, private equity, corporate strategy, various industry jobs, and of course top b-schools.

i have never heard of Bain until i've seen it mentioned on a few of these forums. can someone explain to me why Bain is better than IBD?

Wowzers. How the hell have you never heard of Bain?

Bain is one of the top tier management consulting firms (McKinsey, Bain and Boston Consulting Group = M/B/B). Outside of banking, these firms are the best chance at exiting to PE (do you know what PE is?). On top of that, Bain is unique because it also has a PE arm that just happens to be one of the top megafunds that most IBDers gizz their pants over...Bain Capital.
