IBD recruiting without GMAT
Hi All - I realize GRE scores are being used more and more now in lieu of GMAT at some schools. Does anyone have any thoughts on how this will affect recruiting out of business school assuming good percentiles?

Are you serious??? No one gives a damn about your gmat score. Unless you scored 800 then you put it on your CV otherwise no one will ever ask you. I
i know MBB ask for GMAT and generally like to see 720+, I don't think BBs ask but am not 100% sure.
Any idea how they (MBB) would take GRE scores. I had a very high score but I've heard that the GRE is considered an easier test.
No one cares for job applications. I am surprised that you would even consider putting it on your CV?
Thanks for the replies. To clarify, I definitely do not plan to put it on my resume/CV, however, I thought it was pretty common knowledge that consulting and i-banks asked for your score as part of the recruitment. Is this not the case?
It is certainly the case. Unfortunately, I did the GMAT and have no idea how MBB treats the GRE
Just put the GRE to GMAT conversion on you resume, since the person reading it might not be familiar with it.
Thanks guys
I did GRE only and I got interviews with MBB.
Good to hear, Astraeus. Would you mind sharing your GRE range? Also, interested to hear if MBB you met with had any questions about your reason for taking the GRE over the GMAT...
my gre was 170 quant, 167 verbal. Nobody has even mentioned it. Once you get the interview it all comes down to your performance on the case & behavioral questions.
