If not high finance then...?
It seems abundantly clear to me, and anybody on WSO that the vast majority of active members are motivated guys, (and girls) usually in college aiming for jobs in banking/HF/PE etc. myself included.
I'm curious though, what about the people who aren't on here?
What is the career path for someone getting out of college with one or no internship, no network, and no real idea of how the field is structured?
Saying "guys (and girls)" is an agenderphobic microaggression, you are a bigot.
This might be crazy but maybe, just maybe, people pursue jobs they enjoy?
On this forum, a job that someone enjoys is definitely crazy.
Anything really, If you're motivated but lacking grades/internship you'll generally work your way into higher paying jobs.
Case in point my current workplace is Logistics and because of the pay rate ($40 plus an hour) we have a surprising amount of well educated grads who have fallen through the cracks by not getting internships etc...
It might not be high finance but it's infinitely less stressful and you can still clear 3.5k+ a week. Just my 2c
