Imperial College Business School MSc ESB VS LSE MSc AOI

Hi all. Curious to hear about the job placement opportunities for both these programmes, and just how prestigious the Imperial College Business School (ICBS) is?

I have offers from ICBS' MSc Economics and Strategies for Business (ESB), and from LSE's MSc Accounting, Organisations, and Instituitions (AOI). My main aim is to go in Management Consulting (MBB, or 2nd tier), but would consider going into investment banking; M&A. I aim to work in Asia, with Singapore my most likely destination. I have an undergrad in Business Administration from and American University with a 3.88/4.0 GPA.

While I understand that the LSE MSc AOI is not a top MSc offered in LSE, it comes from the highly reputable Department of Accountancy in LSE, and I could essentially do almost all the modules offered in their MSc Accounting & Finance; due how flexible doing electives in MSc AOI is.

I'm leaning more towards going to ICBS' MSc ESB now, but have a feeling LSE's branding would be stronger, and am really not so sure if the MSc I choose would play a big part in the recruitment process. ICBS' ranking recently decreased as well.

I'm interested to know the thoughts of others, especially from current students or alumnus from both these programmes. Thanks!

I only know so much about management consulting but in the UK LSE > Imperial for anything finance / accounting related for sure.

Then again I don't know about how specific MSc place. Best advice - go on LinkedIn type in the name of the MSc and just take a look where people from the above courses ended up.

If you're really keen to pick the right one I would also reach out to a couple and ask for a quick phone chat. Insiders will immediately tell you what was the atmosphere like in class and how many people got what they wanted.

The way Ah see it, is that it took a revolution f a bihllion people for your darn short to work out!
