Including only 3rd and 4th year undergrad GPA?
I was recently asked to send my resume to a potential employer at a mid market investment bank and the person I spoke to explicitly mentioned that it would be good to include my GPA on the resume. Unfortunately my grades during the first two years of my undergrad were abysmal because of personal family reasons. In my 3rd and 4th years I was basically at the top of my class. I was wondering if it would be acceptable to include my cumulative GPA for 3rd and 4th year on the resume? And how should I phrase it on my resume?
I would include (in bold) my gpa for the 3&4 year like this with the cumm gpa under it (not in bold): e.g.
GPA (3rd & 4th year) = 3.8 GPA (cumulative) = 3.0
I think people understand if you messed up as long as you make up for it. But if you just include 3&4th year some people might get annoyed because they didn't get the full answer they wanted.
