industries and valutation methods: need advice

so, thanks to the kind and resourceful users of this fantastic website, i've found very informative materials and opinions about many topics. still, i'd like you to help me once more.

is there any material which explains the best valutation method for different industries and sectors? Example: some biotech companies with 1 or 2 drugs in development are like a lottery ticket, have consistent volatility and the cash flows, however informative and helpful, aren't necessarily the top measure in order to asses value and downsiede risk. in fact a real-option valutation approach is better in these kind of circumstances. i'm looking for stuff like this in a single place.

thank you in advance for your time

p.s.: i posted the example just to make you understand more clearly what i'd like to find because wiki, investopedia, google, seeking alpha and other stuff didn't give any relevant result.
