Deloitte Discovery Internship Program
Has anyone ever heard of, or have any experience with this program. I have an interview with them, but it seems back office. (i think HR)
I want to get into banking or management consulting eventually. But I have no other real work experience. I'm doubtful I can get other offers, even PWM. I am waiting to hear back form some other places, but not expecting anything.
So for a sophomore at a target, with a decent gpa and a non-traditional major, would this be a good choice? How would I stack up next year? Can I turn this internship, assuming HR, into a SA gig next summer?

i think the discovery program puts you through many of their different divisions and gives you a look at what Deloitte has to offer--might even get some exposure to consulting as well i believe...from what i understand its a solid program, especially if youre still just a sophomore

From some of the Managing Directors, Directors, and VP's of some BB that I have talked to. Doing a Summer Leadership Program or Internship with the Big 4 is not going to look bad. Especially if you're a sophomore in college and you don't have anything else lined up. However, after you get it down on your resume I would try to shoot for something related to finance next Summer.

Sounds like a guided (Mentored) Big 4 internship. Pay will probably be around $25.00 an hour, plus extra for overtime.
thanks sounds good. I was told by the recruiter that I would do some time in audit,tax,financial advisory,and consulting and then the following summer I would choose one to concentration. Anyone else?
I will be participating in PwC's SDI intern program which is very similar to the Deloitte Discover program. I will be paid 17.50/hour + overtime over a 8-week period.

I've been interested with forensic but am not sure exactly the potential and career path for this industry especially with Deloitte Discovery Forensic group as an Associate level (entry-level).
Anyone know how a career in this business unit of Deloitte offers? And how's the career path in terms of getting a MBA or moving up the ladder?
