Insurance Rotational vs. BB/MM Bank Rotational vs. BB Investment Operations
Grad 12/16 from non-target in Chicago with GPA of 3.4, no great internships. Goal: FO IBD. Can't decide between the career paths in title. It all boils down to what is the best experience for IBD?: Internal audit, FP&A, reporting, and accounting at an insurance company? Or RDP at large bank with focuses on commercial banking, wealth mgmt, corporate operations, etc.? Or a non-rotational FT position heavy on MO investment services, client mgmt, and reconciliation at large bank? I see the insurance company as a possible transition to Big 4 and then MBA at top-tier then Associate at IB. Not sure of the outcomes of the other paths. Answers are appreciated.
