Intern Advice: Financial Markets or Corporate Finance??
I'm currently deliberating between two internship programs from Standard Chartered. It is between Financial Markets and Corporate & Institutional Banking Clients & corporate finance. Ultimately I would like to end up in a front office role in investment banking. In peoples opinion, what would be the pros and cons of each program? And where would each likely lead down the road?
Thanks.
If corporate finance is an M&A advisory role then pick that.
Read through the program, it would include some M&A and also LBOs. I think I'm defiantly leaning towards the corporate finance program.
Please let me know which one you went for. I am in the interviewing process with one of their APAC offices. I know in APAC their DCM is quite strong, but DCM team is placed within the financial markets group oddly enough
