Intern and MDs relationship

I am an intern and I get along pretty well with the MDs at my small firm. They seem to like me and laugh when I crack jokes, be friendly, etc. I have been sensing some hostility among one of our analysts toward me who is usually reserved and not very outgoing. I am guessing its because he sees me as a threat. Any input would be appreciated.

Save the need for acceptance for the locker room. My advice: relax. Talk to the other guy: See what he really feels. Try to come up with a solution.

Don't talk about it on a random internet board. This is how office gossip starts... take care of b4 it's an issue.

Could be overthinking it, its not so bad that I need to talk to him about it. He is usually cool to me, but he made some subtle underhand comments. Guess he could be busting my balls. I have too much time to think.

You don't have to talk to him "about it" - just pay attention and look for opportunities to connect. He's not connecting with the joke stuff, so look for another approach. You don't have to be best friends, but you want to reduce tension if you can.

This may or may not be a big deal, but you never know who's going to overhear the next comment.

(Friends close, enemies closer)

be aggressive. your fellow analyst is 'reserved and not very outgoing'? hes a punk with poor personal skills. treat him like one. rub your superiority in his face. and if he ever talks back, bitch slap him. purposely spill your coffee on him, dont apologize, and later throw a crumpled up 100 dollar bill at him.

if you think your MD likes you now, just wait til you follow that advice.

-waits for people to take this post seriously and angrily question whether i work in the industry-

sorry laxn103,

i have to agree with sternfox and i promise i'm trying to be as objective as i can. i admit that i was rude the other day, however, this topic just shows how immature you are.

I'm sure the other intern hates you 'cause you're a loser. then one day, you guys had a fight so you posted this on thinking you're so lovable by the MD. btw, no one loves you on here, let along the MDs.
