International rookie. looking to be drafted.

I'm a international student looking for a job in US.

I've got my BA in Korea and considering getting masters in finance at Hult University in San Francisco.

I was wondering If I have better chance of getting a job in smaller banks or bigger banks. If so, should I start my position in investment bank or private equity If I'm trying to give myself the best shot to get recruited.

Thanks

Do you have any work experience?

Do not get a masters in finance from Hult University. It has no street cred and no prestige whatsoever. You will waste your money. Why don't you get some work experience in Korea in IB or PE, get in a top MBA program and then apply for internships which will lead to full time employment.

A masters in finance from Hult University will give you a better chance at getting a job in smaller banks just because you are actually in the US now. However, I am sure that people will look at Hult's in a negative way, unless he or she is an alumni.

I am from the SF Bay Area and have never heard of Hult.

Try to get an internship in the Bay Area. Franklin Templeton, an AM firm on the Peninsula, hires temps and interns from time to time. Also, try cold calling banks in the city and the Silicon Valley.
