Internship- MM Sales and Trading vs. BB Private Banking???
I am currently a junior undergraduate student at a Big Ten University in the Midwest and have received internship offers in two different areas of investment banking. One is for a bulge bracket firm in Private Client Services, and another from a middle-market bank in Fixed Income Sales and Trading.
Besides the obvious, I was wondering if anyone might be able to share the pros and cons of each area of business, and the outlook for these careers in today's economic environment. I feel I am very passionate about sales and enjoy building relationships with people.

If you want to do S&T post-grad, take the MM its an obvious choice.

I did a PWM internship before. The industry sounded a bit cooler than it really was. It seemed like a gloried sales gig.
Task 1: Find rich people Task 2: Convince them to give you their money Task 3: Give that money to someone else to manage
Personally, I'd recommend taking the S&T internship.
