#Internship needed# Willing to take anything!!! Greater LA

I am a Math/Econ student at a respected school on the West Coast. Basically screwed my freshmen year gpa because spent too much time trading and selling guitars, but have made major recovery this second year.

Currently, I am in the situation that I cannot find any finance-related internships because I do not have a high gpa (at least not yet) and the fact that I am not a Junior.

Can someone give some guidance here. Should I:
1. cold e-mail everyone I met at the career fair
2. reach out to alumni on Linkedin
3. continue to read and trade in my room
4. do something irrelevant like joining a startup

If you need someone to fetch the coffee, I will do it.
If you need someone to babysit you kid or tutor Chinese and AP Calculus, I will do it.
If you need a caddie, I will do it.
If you need someone to dissolve a body, I will do it.

I am willing to take anything right now.

  1. Yes, but it's not a cold e-mail if you have already met the recipient. You want to be building 'warmth'.
  2. Yes.
  3. Sure, if you still have time after 1 and 2, which you may or may not, depending on how seriously you take them.
  4. If you can't find anything to do, I think this is a superior option to sitting at home and trading (unless you want to be a trader).

Just my .02 TS
