Internship Opinions Leading to Junior Year Recruiting
Hey WSO,
I have an offer to work as a summer research associate for a start up creating a due diligence information platform for hedge funds/institutional investors in NYC. Housing costs will be covered.
The previous summer, I interned at a small hedge fund working with the analysts and generally shadowing the firm's divisions.
I am also an analyst for of a student investment fund.
My question is: Do you guys think this kind of background can translate/has transferable skills to IB? I want to strategically position my self for junior-year recruiting in the fall. I currently attend a semi-target.
I plan on using this summer's opportunity, in part, to network for the fall.
Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!
