Intro to a Non-traditionalist

Hello!

Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to Wall Street Oasis, something that was recommended to me by some friends on my new college campus.

As the forum topic title indicates, I am a non-traditional student and seeker of a job on Wall Street. Long story short, I had a turbulent end of high school and ended up not going to college for a few years.
After receiving my associate's degree in Business Admin., I have made my way to a pretty selective university that places decently on Wall Street, but I'm a little bit older than my peers. This also means I was able to score a year long internship as a Accounting Assistant at a small business, where I learned the language of business pretty extensively (maybe some of you have some recommendations on how to frame this better come potential interviews).

I am in the process of searching for an internship for the coming summer at a middle-market PE firm or something of the like. Any questions, and I'll answer. Advice is appreciated!
