Introduction & Blog Goals

Hello Wall Street Oasis Community,

I have been a long time member (under a different username) of this great forum and continue to believe that this site is an excellent resource for prospective monkeys to veterans in various finance industries. After being inspired and encouraged by others to start writing and sharing my opinions I felt it would be best to create a new account and start fresh. Within this post, I will share some background information and my goals for this new account and blog.

Background
I am currently a rising finance senior at a non-target university in the U.S. Growing up in the finance capital of the world NYC I was always drawn to the allure that the Wall Street jungle has, and knew I would love to work in finance especially in the fast paced environment that the street offers. As most WSO users my end goals is to end up on the buy-side working or having my own value investment fund/holding company.

Goals for Blog-What I will be writing about

  1. Value Investment Ideas- The primary use of this account is to post and share my value investment ideas. My hope is that over time my analysis and ideas will get better and better the more I post. I will also be looking at constructive criticism and a place to share ideas/information with fellow value investors.

  2. Politics/World Events-I am fully aware that politics is one of the topics best avoided in the workspace. However, this forum allows us to speak freely on what going around all over the world. My goals for these topics is to start off serious in-depth conversations/debates. I will be looking to improve my debating skills, practice the art of persuasion, and looking at other people's views and arguments.

  3. Reviews/Helpful Information/Other- I will also post on book reviews, share my experiences/info that has helped me in finance and life, as well as anything else that I might find worthwhile to post and share with this great community.

Thank-you all for taking the time to read this post and I look forward to interacting and growing with this community.
