Investment Banking Plan B
I am a senior graduating in May interested in pursuing a career in investment banking. However, I was abroad working for a PE firm during most of FT recruiting, and as a result, I missed a lot of interview opportunities. Considering the recruiting season is over, I am trying to find a position that will allow me to break into banking in roughly 1 to 2 years.
I am curious if anyone has landed an experienced hire position at a bank from a non-banking position, and if so, I would appreciate any insight and advice.
Thanks in advance
Quick background on me:
– 3.5 GPA at a target majoring in Econ
– Interned for a PE firm
– I can't delay graduation
– Had two superdays at MM firms but no offer
bump
Big 4 TAS / Valuation Firm / corporate finance
That's what I ended up doing -- thanks.
Update–I was able to lateral into a 2nd year analyst position at MM IB in NY after a year; stay grinding.
Congrats
