Investment Banking Summer Programs - for JD Students?

I'm a current student at a top Ivy law school, but would jump on the chance to try investment banking this summer. The problem's that despite strong law school grades, I have zero experience in finance: I'll have interned with the SEC for two terms by this coming summer, but in a legal capacity.

Is it too late to apply for a summer analyst or associate (though I realize my lack of background makes this unlikely)?

If I wasn't too late, how would I go about maximizing my chances? Will it be next to impossible, or if there's some chance, what should I try to leverage on my resume? Are test scores relevant (although I haven't taken the GMAT)?

Thanks so much.

You can work as a lawyer for a few years and then apply to bschool, and nobody makes it to associate from the get go. I don't see why you should give up important law internships just to see what it's like to work in IB,I think you should think this through.
