Investment Banks in London Student Insight Days?
Hello
Does anybody know of any open spaces for early-insight days for IBs in London? I am currently 16 and have just finished high school and am looking for such things. I have tried many websites particularly J.P Morgan but it seems all their applications are now closed. Should I email them to find out whether they have any remaining spaces on a course seeming as most start in July and today is the 1st of July? Can I still get in on a programme of some sort? Can anybody provide me with an email address to which I can contact any IBs in London as I cannot seem to find any email addresses. I feel I would be at a disadvantage compared to others if I start work experience/ insight days/ work shadowing next summer and not this summer. Suggestions welcome
Thank you
You're way too young. People your age getting interns have family MD/CEO connections in the business.
Look up spring week and apply for that once you're enrolled to a university. That's a program designed for first year at uni or 2nd year if you're doing a 4 year program.
Do you live in the US? In the UK people my age and younger are free to apply to insight days at investment firms and banks such as J.P. Morgan Chase etc. I have recently missed the deadline to applications for these early insight days and I am wondering how to contact them directly to enquire about any open spaces even after the application deadline as I am aware that they have not yet began. I am simply asking for any contact information for the UK branch of J.P. Morgan.
I'm not from US nor UK, but EU. I know people who have gone to these early insight days in UK and I have been with McKinsey myself and I haven't met anyone who weren't attending university.
I think some banks have school insight days for high schoolers, but those I do not know anything about. Sorry. I think you will not have chance since you missed the deadline. It's usually fierce competition, at least it was at McK, and I think it is no different at JPM. I'm sorry pal, but I think you've missed the shot. Application at our uni had the last deadlines in Feburary.
If I have missed the deadline this year I can do it next year lol it's a course that is run every year. I missed out on this year's deadline by a few weeks. Therefore, I can prepare for the next course next year now that I know when the deadlines are. I will apply for J.P. Morgan as they have the best courses available in the UK for individuals like myself. Thanks for the comment though
Relax bro Worry about this when you start university
Yes it's a course that is run every year.
No you can't do the school insight next year, since you're not a high schooler.
No you can't do the undergraduate program this year since you're not attending a university.
Therefore no you can't attend the same program next year.
Don't worry I already checked and I will be eligible for it net year too. Thanks though
don't sweat it. you don't exactly need one to get a spring week, and you can always do work exp next year as you mentioned.
Well I base in London and I have attended this sort of thing before.U said u r 16 and finished high-school: do u mean A-Levels or GCSEs lol if it's ALs then u r really young! In this case I'm afraid u've missed them all: JPM selections finished in Early June cuz ddl was Jun 1st. Note that u would be told it's not a rolling basis but actually ppl heard before the close of applications, and they don't normally take gap year ppl. If u mean finish GCSEs, watch out to the Bournmouth work experience (BO but still worth it),then keep an eye on Merrill Lynch programmes in L6th. In U6th u can pretty much apply for all the insight days cuz they target on U6th ppl.
I mean I just finished GCSEs. Most people finish High School (GCSEs) at 16 years old. A-Level starts at 16 and finishes at 18. I have seen J.P. Morgan offering insight days for Year 12 and Year 13 students (A-Level students) annually as well as Year 11 leavers. What do you mean by the Bournemouth work experience? This is the one for J.P. Morgan no? (What does BO mean). Next year I am looking to doing more insight days which will make me eligible to go on to internships and work experience in the year following next. P.S. when did you apply for a summer programme? At which months do applications generally start opening for summer programmes? Thank you
