Is it normal to have 4 rounds of interviews at small boutique IBs?
Just curious about the above question. If so, what's the most number of "formal" interviews anybody's had at a given firm (large or small)?
EDIT: Keep in mind I work full-time and all the taking off work to interview is not unnoticed...why can't 3 interviews be enough given that round 2&3 both have cases?
It's a small bank, they want to make sure the people they are hiring are going to be good fits. That sometimes takes more time than 2 cases.
It's normal. I once had interviews with everyone in the office until they finally decided to offer me a position.
normal for smaller shops
You need to get an exploding offer, and give them a call.
They will then get back to you with a decision within 24 hours, likely yes.
Make a frigging decision, guys.
