Is it okay to disclose HR's email to a friend

So my friend run into some technical issue when applying for a bank. He reached out to me because I have been through the recruiting process with the same bank and asked me for HR's contact. Without hesitation, I gave him HR's email.

By hindsight, I realized that I did so without asking HR's permission first. I am srsly cringing rn and knew I shouldn't have done it. The question is: will this get me into trouble/perceived as negative by HR, if he finds out??

I feel like you'll be fine, as long as your friend doesn't mention you? It's so easy to find any HR's linkedin profile and guess his/her email based on the firstname dot lastname format.

Disagree. I have a good friend that works at JP and it is company policy that they are not allowed to disclose their colleagues e-mail addresses.

So people can't be cc'd on emails? That would be awesome.

I mean outside of the bank.

You can't believe this is serious. I have no idea if you've ever been in banking or worked on a deal, but you have to bring a lot of people into a variety of conversations with parties outside of the bank every day. Maybe there are some internal compliance, security or other niche roles that may have some strange reason for doing this, but it would be completely impractical in investment banking or trading (I have had roles on each side at two different BBs) to have a policy like this.

Harum excepturi eum ad et totam. Iusto natus nam et corrupti commodi cumque dignissimos animi. Libero quasi est neque totam est repudiandae. Expedita doloremque beatae autem aut non. Laborum molestias odio in nisi quam est. Excepturi aut optio tempore ut.
