Is it possible to jump from a regional boutique to a MM/Bulge after 1 year?
I'm 24. I'm one year out of a college which was a semi-target in the South. I graduated from a 5 year accounting program where I got my bachelor's and masters in accounting. I worked for a public accounting firm this past year.
I hated it. So I started applying for IB Analyst positions and got/accepted an offer from a regional boutique that specializes in the IT sector. My plan was to stay at this boutique for a year and learn as much as I can as an IB analyst and then try to pursue an analyst position at a bigger bank.
1) Is this possible?
2) When would be the best time to make the move? (Eg. After the summer?)
3) OR should I go the MBA route after 1 year?
Thanks in advance.
