Is it worth it??? - Not expecting much

Hey Guys:

I know I said I was taking a month off after last week’s heartbreak but I can't quit. I was going through my BB internal job board and saw a M&A Analyst position. I quickly emailed the recruiter and hiring manager. Long story short I had the phone interview today and the recruiter said, "You just don't have the exp we need". Did say I had the most drive of all the applicants and forwarded my application based on respect. Still, I am not expecting much. Anyways it’s ok because if I shoot for the stars I would at least crash on the moon (I hope).

My exp is my weakest point so I am strongly considering AnEx. I am also taking my CFA L1 as I want to get into AM. However, is AnEx worth the 3-5k in my case? I am 28 and married. So, if AnEx cannot help me get into banking (STARS) does it add any credentials if I try to break into a great corporate company (moon)?

Simply stated in 1 yr if I still am getting "not good enough" calls from BB and I start applying at firms like Chevron would they even care I took AnEx and I'm a CFA?

On a totally different topic I am a Novelist. I have written 5 novels (unpublished); however, I was contacted by an agent 3 days ago asking to “shop around” one of my books. If it is somehow published could I put that on a resume? It is not work exp or Education and last I checked the fun facts section wasn’t exactly in the M&I Format.

what is your experience so far?

Great question. I am the lowest form of PWM. I have build a book of business of roughly 85 million dollars from nothing. It has taken hard work but not the work I want to do anymore.

I am also going to take a Masters degree. I am torn on taking a Msfin at UHouston in hopes a great transcript and a better job can land me a MBA at a Texas or Rice. Or just biting the bullet an apply for an MBA at : UT, Rice and UHou.
