Is memorizing the WSO Technical guide enough to get past BB SA Interviews?
Thanks for your advice.

received an ibd offer for full time... i would definitely try to conceptualize these guides and try to answer different variations of your typical questions so you will not fall for any tricks throughout the interview process. try to play with a model and get an idea on input/output effects. it will definitely help you. conceptually understanding is fine but you need to know how to apply this conceptual thinking to very specific questions that may be asked.
i read the m&i guide and felt like it was not enough as it was very general.
Like poster said above, memorizing will certainly get you through the interview, but the questions will defer a little bit from the norm so you want to completely understand the concept enough to tweak your response.
Thanks a lot. Do you know of any other good materials to really grasp the concepts?
I liked WSOs the best. I have Vault's Guide to Finance Interviews, and it's a little too broad. I think the WSO guide as well as playing around with a few models should be plenty. If you want to go over the top, I would read Investment Banking: Valuation, LBO, and M&A by Rosenbaum to grasp concepts before looking at WSO guide, then use WSO to actually prep for interviews.
