Is Stockholm School of Economics Riga any good?

I'm currently a high school student looking at business schools around the world. Is SSE Riga comparable to other top business schools around the world for undergraduate like LSE or Wharton. Does it provide a good education and is a degree from SSE Riga reputable in Europe? How good is it really?

Not comparable to LSE/Wharton. SSE (6k€/year but has waiver & scholarships) has a good reputation however and quite many go on to finish M.Sc. at Bocconi which places a lot of people into London IB. I'm sure the education at SSE is alright but I'd go and apply for B.Sc. Econ at LSE (10k£/year) since it provides you a better education, great network and places quite well into IB/Consulting/whatever it is you want to do.

obviously would need more info on where you're applying from and what it is you want to do career-wise but as a general advice I think SSE is OK.

I guess SSE has a great rep in Europe but its not literally unknown outside EU and SSE Riga is a step inferior to the SSE at Stockholm. I am an Indian ( will be attending uni next year in UK ) and i havent seen many people working at London IBs and BBs who got a degree from SSE but according to LinkedIn stats, most of them are placed in Sweden. TBH LSE and Wharton is an another level and you cant get the same alumni network and prestige that you can earn from this university. So i guess your best bet would be to do an UG there and to try to get into LSE/Wharton or an equivalent uni for postgrad

SSE places more than 20 kids each year into IBD in London, and more than 10 additional kids get offers but pursue other careers such as (MF PE, MBB etc.) There's literally only LSE BSc Econ and LSE MSc in Finance/and PE that can compete with SSE students in terms of placement. The only requirement to get an interview with a BB coming from SSE is a half-decent GPA and a well written application since all BBs need people for their Nordic clients. Needless to say, they always prefer students from SSE, and only take students from Lund/CBS/Hanken when they can't find a suitable candidate from SSE.

However SSE Riga is shit... Wouldn't go there even if they paid me!

Recommend going on LinkedIn and searching for SSE alumnus...
