Is this a good thing to put on a resume for IBD?
I'm applying for IBD SA positions soon and recently co-founded and am head strategist of an investment fund at my school. The fund consists of around 20 people, but no real money is traded. We've made some modest gains but nothing substantial thus far.
I'm pretty sure this would be a good thing to put as a line under 'other activities' at the bottom of my resume, but could this merit its own sub-heading with bullet points?
I'm not sure if I should do that, especially since this seems more suitable for a resume aimed at trading positions. In terms of other stuff on my resume, I have two finance (non-BB) internships.
Thanks!
If it's not real money and doesn't have a substantial presence on campus, I would just put it under other activities.
What was said above- put it on the resume for sure, but just as an activity. It will highlight interest in finance, but you don't want it to take away from your summer experiences, which should be emphasized much more.
^^Both good points of advice. Trading fake money is very different than trading real money.
