Is this Blackstone internship back office?
I'm wondering if this is a worthwhile internship at Blackstone that would help land solid FT opportunities in the future. Is it front, back, or middle office?

Yea brah- dis is backoffice. The Blackstone name always looks good on the resume and I don't think you're pigeon holing yourself if you are just an undergraduate intern. FYI, Blackstone calls all of their employees "analysts" to confuse the general public. Rule of thumb... any job description with that many "assist" or "prepares" is gonna be back office.
It's BO. I had a friend that did a similar internship at Blackstone. He's now in Chicago with a different firm doing ER, so you are by no means automatically disqualifying yourself from FT FO positions.
Thank you for the input! As long as a BO summer internship doesn't pigeonhole me, I would be fine with it--I'm applying to FO opportunities full-time as well as consulting firms. Glad that solid opportunities would still be an option for FT.
If this is your freshman or sophomore summer, it's alright. If junior summer, a bit riskier as you ideally want some front office experience to put on your resume.
It is my junior summer. I have other first-round interviews in finance, so I guess I'll just see where I can get an offer and then weigh my options.
