Job Advise
Hello,
First of all thank you for being part of a community that helped me so much to understand what I wanted to do in life. I am a recent graduate from a top university and I am currently interning in Investment Banking - second internship in the same US BB, which will soon turn into a ft offer. During the last 6 months, I built strong relations with my team and I am learning lots. However, I was offered a full-time position in PE (a top 20 fund), the work is more interesting and I would work way less hours. PE is what I see myself doing for the long term.
I would like to know if my chances of remaining in PE would be higher or lower if I move now and if IBD would prepare me better to become a well-rounded PE professional. I am scared that going directly to PE I will not have the necessary modelling skills a second year IBD analyst has and that these are the most valuable assets of a PE analyst. What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
