  • I would remove the "Profile" section
  • Put your work experience before Clubs & Activities
  • After you put work experience first (2nd to education), why don't you combine your additional experience with the Clubs & Activities and rename it something like "Activities and Leadership Experience"? Just a thought...
  • Add skills and interests at the bottom (you should have some space after deleting the "Profile" section)

EDIT Posted this before I saw the above post. Some overlap but also agree with everything else applelover said.

Here's some constructive criticism regarding the profile section: your resume IS your profile. No recruiter is going to care what you have to say about yourself. They do care about what's on your resume and how you present it. As far as profile, "summary of skills" sections go, they are extremely redundant and a waste of space.

Everybody above me has posted sound advice. However the one thing they missed which stands out like a sore thumb on your resume is formatting.

I don't know if it's razume but your spacing should be CONSISTENT. If you have a space after your university experience (which you should) you should have a space after every other experience.

Use real dashes. You have them in your professional experience section but do not employ them in your clubs/activities portion.

For your job title, I would just say Research Intern. Unless your title is specifically THAT.

Try to fit your timelines on one line. It looks ugly having them on different lines. Abbreviations would help here.

Also, for your graduation date, Expected is fine. I would write March 2013 (Expected) vs what you have down.

Your resume lacks polish and is ugly as a consequence. I'd recommend you spend some time getting the formatting down if you want it as perfect as possible

-Remove the "Profile" Section. The whole point of the resume is to make such descriptions irrelevant

-Round GPA to "3.7/4.0" (But thank you for maintaining sig-figs in the denominator, very few people do this and it drives me crazy)

-No point in saying "Expected Graduation", just write "March 2013 and they'll know what you mean

-The note about references at the bottom is irrelevant, remove it. They know that when they ask you to jum, you'll ask how high; they'll be able to get references out of whether you mention it or not

-Change "Additional Experience" to "Additional Qualifications"
