Junior @ Semi-Target: Engineer to SA IBD - Please Critique!
Hi guys,
Currently a Junior majoring in finance at a target/semi-target looking for an IBD SA gig at a BB (hopefully) or MM bank this summer.
Would really appreciate if you guys could give me your thoughts on my resume. Thanks!
@WallStreetOasis.com a scoring here would be great - considering using the WSO resume service if it would be helpful.

minor thing, I'd take off perm address. looks good, nice stats. Be ready to sell the "why investment banking?" since you're an engineer. they literally will bring that up in every single interview, it will start to annoy you
Why wouldn't they bring that up in every single interview? It'd be weird if they didn't...
Word and PPT aren't skills to put down, they are expected. Also were you a business development analyst or summer analyst? Big difference, don't get caught out by that if you were a summer analyst.
Not sure what you mean by business development analyst vs. summer analyst - the internship was at a tech company, not a bank, and the title was "Business Development Analyst."
Knew it wasn't at a bank, didn't know they called you analysts. Fair enough, no problems there then.
Thanks for the clarification!
Just out of curiousity, why is it surprising they called us analysts? And what would be the difference between a business development analyst and a summer analyst, at a tech company, anyways?
Summer analyst would be a business development analyst who was there for a summer internship. Not surprising you're called analysts, just would have imagined you're called summer analysts.
Bump, more opinions would really be appreciated!
