Just out of curiosity

I worked at a middle tier Investment Bank in NYC this past summer, co-founded my school's Investment Club, and am a collegiate tennis player. I am now looking to get an analyst position in Private Equity. I was wondering what advice any one had in regards to how to get in straight out of undergrad in an Analyst capacity? Also if any one is interested in grabbing coffee (and are located in the NYC Area) please DM me.

If you're a Senior you're probably already too late. If you're a junior then you should target a BB banking internship this year and hustle/network really hard to try and find a role.

For the most part, PE analyst positions are pretty rare coming out of undergrad. There are a few shops that have them (Audax comes to mind), but for the most part they just don't take analysts because they aren't experienced enough to do the work well.

You'd probably be better suited to just go the traditional route of banking into PE. If you're deadset on PE, you're going to basically just hustle and network a ton and you might be lucky to find a role at a MM to lower MM PE firm that will take you on. Theres nothing formalized about the process coming out of undergrad.
