Kauffman Fellowship - surprisingly no thread on this

So I was doing some reading on the Kauffman Fellowship and wanted to see what the WSO community thought of this program, but there isn't a thread on it - very surprised.

I want to see what everyone thought of this program, whether it is through direct experience as a fellow or from things that you heard from friends/contacts.

It looks like a pretty legit networking program for post-MBAs, but I'm not sure if it's worth asking your PE/VC firm to pay $75K for it.

Other thoughts?

It's legit and totally worth it. One of my MD's was a fellow. Adds a lot of value to our firm.

Kindly never presume, nor jump to conclusions. The CFA123 or even CFA12 are enough to ace the finance industry. The 'group think' mentality doesn't last, as we can see that Ivy League Univs had deepest drop of applications from US-UK-Western citizens, even Intl Student applications have dropped. The 200+ years old concept of 'brand upselling' of Ivy League, XYZ covert groups etc. doesn't work anymore on aware souls.

Deal Flow and increased network are probably the two largest benefits. to the firm. Also, it appears to have brought more legitimacy to the partner on deals in some cases.
