Sucks that the interviewer is trying really hard to make him sound better even though the interviewee does seem like he cares. lol "I'll get money, thats the main goal". Wish I had his balls.

Its raining meatballs!

At first I thought it might be a fake, but the Asperger's call is probably right. It's sorta like he doesn't want to make eye contact. It's sad the interviewer is trying to make him sound good lol and failing miserably

Maximum effort.

I found that really uncomfortable to watch...
I imagine it was probably really uncomfortable as the interviewer :/
Currently: future neurologist, current psychotherapist Previously: investor relations (top consulting firm), M&A consulting (Big 4), M&A banking (MM)

HAHAH. The kid didn't prep. I'm crying watching this...

Is this the kind of interns banks hire nowadays? Kid is so fucking dumb.

Good laugh for sure. Everyone in my social circle is like Bateman/Gecko/Fox..Get this retard out of my face.

FAKE!

Everyone in your social circle is a criminal?

Damn it! We have Clint Eastwood and Bruce Wayne or shall I say Dirty Harry and The Batman.

Obviously fake. No one talks the way this interviewer does. The questions are not realistic at all.

And calling him Mr. Wilson? Everyone in the industry goes by first names, you would never give that much power to the person you're interviewing.

Unfortunately for you he recorded it from beginning to end so we can see that the interviewer never mentions the firm name once or even asks specific position type questions, aka "Why do you want to work in fixed income, why investment banking, etc. etc.) Also his intro question was retarded, "sooo yeah I thought we'd give you a shot". No interviewer would ever say that, that's some 5th grade shit. The whole point of an interview is to give a "shot" why would you even say that to start off an interview.

The amount of stuttering the interviewer does is really unprofessional too. Definitely his friend just skyping him and making fun of him. Though I don't doubt the kid is actually handicapped in some way, which may be why this guy decided to mock interview him.

Also, a real interview would have ended the call within 2 minutes.

I disagree. I've had phone interviews with similar questions 1-1 and no mention of banks name...

Check this kids videos, he is like this in all of them.

Your reading comprehension seems poor. Again, I said he probably is like this, but the interview itself was fake.

The interviewer sounds like a young guy. So it's probably unlikely that the interviewee has any friends to help him out and his uncle would probably sound older than the guy interviewing. I'm guessing your scenario is that a guy from the firm called a candidate just for a mock interview?

This interview is real. In a mock interview, the interviewer wouldn't of had so many uncomfortable laughs since it would've been much more casual and I wouldn't doubt the interviewer would of given him tips during the interview.

Again, you're entitled to your opinion even if it is false. The guy interviewing him could've been an inter or entry guy 21-24 years old. I've had phone interviews as well back in the day with interns and they say the same stuff. The higher-ups are busy sometimes to interview interns.

The interview was real.

If they kid really has aspergers, he isn't dumb. Unprepared and probably not qualified for this sort of work, yes. But some of the traits associated with the condition can actually be a boon for certain careers. I'm imagining that the interviewer was doing this as a courtesy to whoever the connection was, especially given that the kid was just graduating high school.

This is cringe worthy and I do think this is real.

The interviewer seems pretty young -1 or 2 year analyst, maybe a new associate. I dont know, shit was just hard to watch. This kid needs a position that doesn't do any kind of client facing; focus solely on number crunching in a back room. Though, maybe all seniors in high school / freshman in college interview like this?

The kid's not qualified to flip burgers, let alone be in any professional setting.

It's obvious this kid is a freshman, (sounds like he might have just started or is about to start). The interviewer asked him about his GPA and whether it was weighted or unweighted and what his favorite part about high school was. It's pretty obvious that the kid is a bit socially awkward but he's just coming out of high school and was probably picked on and isolated there. It's clear that he doesn't have experience interviewing but realistically, very few people do at that age. And yes, he doesn't calibrate to the cues the interviewer is giving him and he says things that most people wouldn't say, but it's no reason to hate on him. People need to grow up, if you can't discern from this that the kid is much younger, more inexperienced, and possibly dealing with some social calibration issues, then you likely aren't as perceptive as you think.

This kid is probably interviewing for some type of internship in PWM, probably going to be filing papers, etc and getting paid a bit more than minimum wage, maybe $10 bucks an hour or less even. The fact that firm he is interviewing with isn't mentioned is not that surprising as it's probably a fairly no name firm and the position is likely so unimportant that discussing it would be trivial. Regarding the "we thought we'd give you a try" introduction, this isn't an unreasonable start to an interview regarding a position that doesn't matter all that much. The interviewer probably knew the kid was nervous and wanted to ease the tension, trying to hint that the interview was a formality, which given the kid's connection through his uncle, it probably was.

The interviewer definitely tried to do everything he could to help the kid get through the interview, which his uncle probably arranged. Was he a bit immature in laughing at some of the responses, yes. But it's a pretty knee jerk reaction when you're not predisposed to blunt and ridiculous answers.

People need to chill out on hating on this kid. It obviously isn't a banking interview, yes the kid has some social issues but he'll learn over time and I know several kids I went to school with who were like this even as late freshman year who came around and realized what they were doing wrong. If he does have some sort of disorder like Aspergers, then you should feel even worse for making fun of him.

Surely you have better shit to do than to poke fun at someone who you can clearly tell isn't used to doing this.

He will never learn.

I showed the video to my cousin who is socially awkward and a freshman in college he was laughing at him because his response was " the kid didn't even try to answer it", he's totally retarded.

Then I showed it to my friend's brother who is 12 but very smart for his age, the kid tore him to pieces. I mean pieces, I asked him the same questions he actually gave me replies 20 times BETTER AND MORE COHERENTLY VERSED than this kid.

Watch his other videos he is not modest, he throws around the words stupid and retarded loosely to describe other people. He is rude and arrogant.

The problem with him is that he is the definition of someone who is "STUPID" he just doesn't know it yet.

I feel nothing for people like that.

What do you need to improve on? NOTHING! What did you do this summer" PLAYED VIDEO GAMES AND WATCH TV"

He wasn't even smart enough to realize that he needed to LIE and BULLSHIT at least to make it appear like he's going in the right direction.

That says enough.
