Lateral to tech focused M&A bank
I have an interview for a lateral hire to a tech focused M&A bank coming up next week. I was curious as to what kind of industry-specific knowledge might be valuable when it comes to technology, ie different valuation concepts, multiples, or anything else that might be secluded to the industry.
Also, any ideas on some of the questions that might be asked from a lateral point of view would also be helpful; the lateral move will be from leveraged finance to M&A, so how detailed do you think they will dive into merger model/accretion-dilution specifics given my lack of experience in that field? Will they respect my previous job and ask questions based on that?
Thanks for any and all insight
Who is it? Might help to know the firm.
