Lazard thoughts
There's no doubt that Lazard is world class and one of the most prestigious places to work but... I've heard a lot about how Lazard seem to have a very elitist/cutthroat culture that works you to the bone - I was wondering if anyone works there or knows anyone that works there and can share their thoughts on whether this is still the case?
Also, I've read a bit on how Lazard despite working you the longest hours and the intense culture, actually pay you in the lower end of the market? Can someone offer any insights about the salary and bonus range (preferably in London) and share any thoughts as to why Lazard pay below street?
Thanks!

Replace Lazard with any investment bank and your statement is still going to be true.
Word
culture is usually very group dependent so i would just try to get a sense from someone that works / has worked in the group you're thinking of joining. for example, MS's tech group in menlo is known to be very demanding whereas their sponsors group has a reputation of being pretty chill in relative terms.
what about generalist class?
