It's weird that you ask, because this topic has not been discussed here before.
It depends every bank is structured differently. Some places FS is more like a coverage group, other times it can act as more of a product group, and sometimes it is combined with lev fin. DCM could be a crappy place to work but sometimes lev fin is branched under that heading.
What exaclty IS sponsors?
sponsors = financial sponsors group, basically a levfin group for LBO transactions (refi, IPO, and M&A related to sponsors and sponsors portfolio companies)...
