Leveraged Finance Technical Interview Questions - Need Help

Hi All,

I have an interview coming up with a leveraged finance team, and I needed some help on these questions. I was wondering if you guys could do me a solid and map out these questions for me:

If a company incurs $100 of debt on Jan 1, how does it flow through the financial statements?

If a company incurs $100 of debt Jan first to buy PPE, how does it flow through the statements?

What kind of transaction makes a company more highly leveraged?

In addition, what other questions should I expect and should focus on these next couple of days?

Many Thanks

the answers to the first two questions can be found in pretty much any interview guide (try one of the BIWS ones). If you want to ace any technical you get in a lev fin interview, buy Rosenbaum and read the two chapters on LBOs. If you absorb even 50% of the info in those two chapters, you'll nail pretty much any LBO and Lev Fin technical.
