LinkedIn InMail from Recruiter
Hey,
I received this email earlier today:
We are representing the market leader in virtual deal room (VDR) software. VDRs are rapidly growing and used by organizations participating in the diligence process (venture, i-bank, private equity, merge) as well as other areas that deal with confidential information which needs to be collaborated upon. This organization is a 60+ year old private company who is multinational and multi-billion in revenue. They are seeking a account management professional interested in growing their career and skills. Base salary would be $65-76k ($US) with bonus/commission opportunities. Position would be located in Big City (Germany). Wonderful culture and work environment. Your LinkedIn profile is a great fit. Would you be open to speaking with me? Thanks for your consideration and time and hope to speak with you soon.
Best,
(Name)
Weird thing is that I haven't even graduated from university. It clearly says on my profile that I'm an intern.
Don't really know how to respond to this?
respond: "sure, i'm interested. can we schedule a phone conversation at some time?"
I just did that. They can't be serious though....
just make sure once you go to germany, you don't get kidnapped to east europe and have your organs cut by some strangers
That seems really weird tbh... but no harm in setting up a call.
Yeah the base sounds a little high, but it sounds like they want someone to sell deal room software. Not exactly something that a 3.9 from MIT would pursue.
60+ year old virtual deal room? right....
