Listing major without having taken the classes
I am wondering if listing an intended major on a resume without actually having completed classes in the department is considered unethical. The major requirements are such that any 300-level class relies on the completion of a series that begins in the fall, which I don't qualify to start (due to prereqs) until next year. The only major requirement I'm currently working on is the "related course" series of math classes, which leads up to the beginning series.
Given that my GPA doesn't exactly reflect the new major, should I be listing the new or old major?
Thanks
This applies to everything: List your current accomplishments and note tentative future accomplishments. When noting tentative future accomplishments make sure you have actually taken tangible steps towards completing that accomplishment.
Good example:
Ball So Hard University Math, Rocket Science (Beginning 2013)
Bad example:
Heavyweight Boxing Champion 47-0, unified all championship belts, GOAT
