Looking for a career: Quantitative and Technical? (not necessarily "Quant")
Hi all,
I am finishing my MSc in finance and I have a semi-strong CV, although it is more oriented to valuation and M&A and it has some trading experience.
I am looking for a career in something more quantitative and technical than M&A. More working with data, more technical abilities like econometrics, maths, maybe some VBA/python... Also to be close to the financial markets.
I know I could do trading, I am currently trying to get in. But I also need a Plan B. What careers do you think will fit in these aspects? Something related with Risk Management (how is the risk/reward here? Asset Managements/Hedge Funds (what type?)?
More info: Based in Europe and strong valuation and corporate M&A internships. Interest in programming, I know some basic Python and medium VBA.
Thanks!
