"love" at the office?!?!?

In the office I have a very smart colleague ( I guess second year analyst but Im not sure at all ) who is very smart and at the xmas party he starts heavily flirting with me. Before the party we used to go to lunch together when it was possible for us.
ATM he flirts with me on daily basis, i was out of the office about four weeks ( Hospital ) and since Im back he is trying a lot.

So, is it a good idea to go out with a colleague? Or is it a no "go". I mean maybe its just an affair. Tell me what you think about this.

You like him because he's smart? To each his / her own I suppose. Don't do it, don't be that guy / girl in the class. If you work at BB, then you're in a big populated city somewhere with tens-hundreds of thousands of young single people. If you really need / want a banker, there's plenty of other investment banks other than your own. Pretty sure they'll have at least on person there that you'd wanna bang.

What's it even matter? In 2 years there's a 99% chance that one or both of you would have left, anyway.

I like him because he is very hot. Im not looking for some serious relationship at the moment. Its hard for me to get in contact with men in general, I don't do the first step. I wait till someone does and fulfill my high standards. But I don't want to have problems and Im not sure if he would talk about this with other colleagues.

"I don't do the first step. I wait till someone does and fulfill my high standards." This isn't a fucking fairy tale. This is real life. Act accordingly.

"But I don't want to have problems and Im not sure if he would talk about this with other colleagues." If you don't want to have problems, then don't go for it. If you live in a big city, I'm sure there are other guys who will live up to your 'high standards', many of whom will be significantly more accomplished than a second year analyst.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Sure. How close are your respective groups in terms of frequency working with each other?

This content along with your grammar should be more than enough to conclude that you're a troll (looks at post count).

The fact that @femaleBB is on this website asking us about this is all the proof we need that she's going to do it anyway.

She already laid out the triangle of reason (similar to the CFA triangle of fraud) - incentive, opportunity, and rationalization. She wants to get some, she sees him every day, and they've had lunch a few times so it's technically okay.

@femaleBB, you'll be out of that office in less than 2 years, and if it somehow turns out to be better than just a fling, you could do like some AM colleagues of mine did for over 6 years without anyone having a clue: keep it on the DL.

in it 2 win it

No male, no asian and yes english grammar was never mine - any questions?

really high….and I think this is the whole problem.

In german there a nearly no mormons - so I think he isn't.

Oh, that's very different. I'm not well enough versed in German flirting to give proper advise. However, I can say just do whet Germans do when they flirt, and he'll get the idea.

P.S. I would love to here how this is done in Germany.
