Management Consulting vs. Middle office I-Bank?
Hi Guys,
I have two offers. One for an analyst position with JP Morgan's Corporate Analyst Development Program, and the other for an analyst position with an MC firm.
What are your views on middle-office investment bank, vs. management consulting?
Thanks!
What group at ATK?
The Management Consulting side. Strategy, Ops, etc.
fo > mo/bo
yeah..but MC or MO?
the OP hasn't given much info on his/her eventual goals, but almost regardless of what the answer is, a front-office client-facing management consulting role will almost certainly be a better choice than internal MO work with JPMC
FO MC will give you the chance to end up in a great MBA program, and from there OP can do whatever he wants. Much harder to break into a top MBA program with average BB MO experience
