Market Making Simulation Strategy
Hello.
I've been preparing for an interview where there'd be a possiblity for a trading simulation.
I saw the Oxyor MarketTrader Demo and took a few shots. The problem with this sim is that I am trading via discretionary approach and not using a market making strategy at all, which means that I am not responding to and/or making any calls to other institutions to give/get quotes.
I will appreciate you guys give me some tips on how to approach this situation. Here's my way of thinking about this: In a situation where I am bullish, I would like to give a quote (as low as possible) to another institution which is bearish and want to sell. In that case If the other institution get the quote, I will be long and the other institution will be short, which corresponds to my initial bias.
Of course, when giving the quotes you do not know if the other institution want want to buy or sell. I am probably still seeing it from a wrong perspective. Again, I'll appreciate any tips on how to approach this.
Thanks!
