MBA candidacy
hello,
i'm a graduating senior and i'm weighing a few opportunities for full-time positions. one is with Travelers Insurance in a finance rotational program. the others include a transfer pricing consultant position with EY and an enterprise risk services consultant position with Deloitte.
the reason as to why i haven't reached a decision is because i'm considering which opportunity will position me best to apply to a top 10 business school a few years down the road. i'm under the impression that in order to to be accepted into a top mba program, you must have valuable experience with a respected company. plus, i want to pursue an mba in finance, which is why i'm leaning towards the Travelers position. i'm not so sure as to how valuable transfer pricing experience will be when it comes to applying to business school.
any feedback will be much appreciated. thanks!
big 4 will set you up nicely. It's not typical for a CA/CPA/ACA to apply to bschool but many do go down that path. Out of the few that I know have applied, one got into HBS and several into other top 5 (some coming from risk services as well)
even though the position with EY involves transfer pricing? i know that ERS with deloitte will be a great opportunity, but i'm not sure about transfer pricing in terms of how it is viewed when applying to business school (as compared to a finance rotational program with Travelers).
thanks for your help!
